Canoeing
for 2-5 people, 1/2 day is 15€ per person,
and day trips at 25€ per person. Jacky also

Kayaking
- At Portugal Yurt Retreat we have two adult sized
kayaks available for 1/2 day and full day hire,
for use in the reservoir.
Swimming
- Central Portugal has many Pria
Fluviais for summer time swimming,
many which have been developed in a simple manner
to create safe child friendly places for swimming,
with cafes and restaurants.

in our nearest town Pedrogão Pequeno.
Walking
- Portugal Yurt Retreat is located in the middle
of woodland and just a kilometre from the Cabril
Reservoir. There are many forest tracks and local
walks to explore.
Portugal

park featuring miniature historic buildings of
Portugal, located in the historic city of Coimbra
just over an hour's drive away.
Markets
- The local markets are filled with local sellers
home grown fruit and vegetables, as well as traders
with imported produce. Fresh bread, local eggs,
honey and cheese are all available. Our local
markets are in Pedrógão Grande every
Monday, Pedrógão Pequeno every Sunday,
Figueiro dos Vinhos every Saturday, and a big
market in Serta every Friday. (more clothes, fabrics,
misc)
Local
Festas - Almost every weekend in the
summer months there are local festas on. These
vary in size depending on the town or village,
each town has it's own celebration. We will be
able to tell you if there are any on during your
stay.
Yoga
- Fiona is a certified yoga teacher and can offer
private classes to guests. See our yoga
page for more information.
Treatments
- We can also offer you a number of relaxing treatments
to compliment your yoga practice with local practicioner.
These include Reiki, Aromatherapy massage, facials,
Swedish massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage,
and an energetic spinal realignment technique
(Dorn-Breuss). These treatments can be organised
upon your arrival. (see

Sailing
on the Resevoir - Coming soon, opportunities
