At
Portugal Yurt Retreat we pride ourselves on providing
an environment for total relaxation. We enjoy sharing
our home with visitors, and make sure we do what
we can to make guests feel comfortable. Holiday
in our luxurious, well appointed yurt in a very
peaceful, small valley in the heart of Central Portugal.
Far away from roads and noise, our yurt is surrounded
by olive, mimosa and fruit trees, providing a secluded
and shady retreat from busy life. Experience a 'glamping'
yurt holiday, and off grid sustainable living, with
all the comforts you would expect.
We
offer rental on a self-catering or B&B basis.
Additional meals can be easily provided with notice.
€40 per night, €280 per week

Enjoy
clean air, crystal clear water for swimming, many
forest tracks for exploring and very traditional
Portuguese villages. Canoeing, kayaking, yoga and
relaxing massages are all available. Children are
welcome, and catered for as we have young children
as well. Families can relax in a safe child friendly
environment.

We
are located in the Beira Baixa region in the heart
of Portugal just one kilometre from the Zezere
river/Cabril reservoir, and close to many other
beautiful swimming places. location

We are close enough to the historic cities of
Coimbra and Tomar to make day trips.
We
live here in a small community with our 4 year
old daughter Elsie, and welcome children and families
to come and stay. Our property is child friendly
and safe, and a wonderful outdoor space for children
to play. We have a play area including a trampoline,
several swings and a 3m large paddling pool. children
We
have a large vegetable garden that gives us most of our
vegetables throughout the year, especially through the
summer months. As much as possible we cook using fresh,
organic vegetables from the garden. We can sell baskets
of vegetables to guests.

Local
Activities - There are many local
activities available such as swimming, walking
in the surrounding woodland, canoeing, kayaking,
guided walks, canyoning and quad bike trips. Please
see our local
activities page for more information
and links. We have two kayaks that guests are
welcome to use on the reservoir.
We currently offer private yoga classes with a
certified teacher, and in 2013 we will start offering
yoga retreat holidays and other workshops in sustainable
living and yurt making. yoga
